Greetings From Peculiar, Missouri, U.S.A.
Peculiar Fretworks was created in 2002 for sharing
our collection of Patterns with Scroll Sawing enthusiasts
around the World.
The Restoration Process
When we purchase patterns the paper is usually very
delicate, sometimes with tears and missing areas and has
turned a brown color.
After careful restoration of the documents, we send
them out and have them digitally scanned. The next process is to remove the background "brown" color and correct any defects in the pattern. You will
notice that all of the patterns are a solid black instead of the modern line type patterns. This was original, and to retain the historical aspect I have chosen
not to alter the patterns.
We have replaced the orginal publishers name to prevent any conflict, since some of the publishers are still in business. And finally we have the restorations printed and list them on the web site for our fretwork friends.
